Ephesians 4:12 “…for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry…”
God never intended Christians to grow in isolation. He placed us in a church body — and He gave spiritual leaders, teaching, fellowship, and relationships as His means of helping us mature. Pastors preach truth, friends sharpen us, and the local church gives us a place to learn, serve, and be strengthened.
Spiritual maturity is connected to spiritual community. When we disconnect from church, we slow down our growth. When we lean into the gifts God has placed around us, we develop. Don’t resist God’s tools; embrace them. Be faithful to church, responsive to preaching, and be open to relationships that challenge you to be more like Christ.
