Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand. — Exodus 7:15
Now God tells Moses to meet Pharaoh in the morning by the Nile River. This stands out to me because Egypt depended on the Nile for everything-water, agriculture, transportation, and prosperity. Many even viewed it as connected to divine power.
So God sends Moses right to that place. This is not random. God is confronting what Egypt trusts in.
Moses is also told to bring the rod-the rod that had been turned into a serpent. Earlier it was called the rod of God. This reminds me that God uses what is in our hand. We all have tools that God can use-our voice, our testimony, our influence-to serve Him and point others to Him.
