Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. — Exodus 3:10
Having declared His purpose, God now commissions Moses. The one who has spent forty years in obscurity is now sent back to Pharaoh.
God has already revealed His credentials before issuing His command. He has shown Moses who He is: the God of your fathers, the holy God, the God who sees, hears, knows, and delivers. Now He says, in effect, “I will use you.”
This is the pattern of divine calling. God does not first ask Moses to explain his strengths. He reveals Himself, then sends him.
